Experience the purity of the guayusa leaf all by itself. A calmer alternative to coffee that provides a more focused energy, with more antioxidants than green tea and none of the bitter tannins. The taste is deliciously smooth, with a mildly nutty and grassy flavour that is truly unique.

Brew as you would any other loose leaf tea: simply add 1 to 2 teaspoons of leaves per cup of freshly boiled water and let it infuse for 5-15 minutes - it won't get bitter. Use any loose leaf teapot, French press/cafetière, or brew ny the cup using a brewing basket or loose leaf tea bag.

A cup made with 2 teaspoons of guayusa gives the caffeine level of a cup of coffee (80mg). In Ecuador's indigenous cultures, guayusa is drank early in the morning on an empty stomach, and we find this gives the most pleasant effects!

A NU KIND OF ENERGY

A Kichwa woman picking guayusa leaves in the Ecuadorian Amazon

FROM THE RAINFOREST
FOR THE RAINFOREST

Let’s be real—an energy drink won’t save the rainforest. But it can help!

Unlike monocrops such as coffee or cacao, guayusa is grown in indigenous farming systems known as Amazonian chakras, where many plants grow together in harmony with the rainforest, under the shade of other trees & without the use of pesticides. This protects biodiversity and soil health and offers a truly sustainable alternative to the monocrop agriculture driving deforestation in the Amazon today.

Your purchase supports these indigenous farmers to demonstrate their farming system on a larger scale and create a more sustainable future for the Amazon region.
